My grandfather Andrew Atkinson(Andy) worked at Colvilles for forty -nine years. He died just before
fifty years service due to ill health. He started work at Colvilles when he was thirteen years old!
I don’t know if anyone will remember him now but he worked at the Bar Mill it was hard work.
My grandfather never got any recognition from Colvilles and he had good attendence even although
    he suffered from Diabetes.
